TEACHING

TEACHING

Central to our mission is recognizing,  affirming, encouraging and growing the varied types of leadership employed in locally scaled agriCULTURE.  Whatever approach you enjoy, be it leading before, beside or behind, we welcome whatever kind of leadership you're willing to lend to our shared goal of keeping agricultural traditions rooted here thriving.

Of course the teachable moments surrounding small scale agriculture and rural living are limitless and welcome not only in studying garden soils / crops, keeping flocks, herds, rafters and gaggles healthy but so too in adding value to food and fiber products,   spinning  yarns and stories that weave the fabric of a rural community together.  Classrooms might look like a millhouse / barn / pasture / workshop / commercial kitchen / wood lot /sugar bush, compost pile, worldwide web or root cellar....  Let us know what type of teaching you have in mind, in which season and what kind of support you need.
